We have been drawn against Norfolk and Chance in Round 1 of the cup, on 16th June. Full draw here

PROVISIONAL FIXTURES 2008

It looks like we'l be meeting a mix of old rivals and new unknowns in the first part of this season; we play Victoria Park Juniors who we've never beat, Pacific who we have a 50/50 record against, and Old Fallopians who we've never lost to.

Adding an exotic feel, we also play a team of Martians, some Tigers and, er, Goodmayes.

More info on the VPCCL site.

Provisional 1st leg of fixtures:

29-Apr-08 Old Fallopians
7-May-08 Norfolk & Chance Martians
21-May-08 Bengal Tigers
28-May-08 Victoria Park Juniors
3-Jun-08 Goodmayes
9-Jun-08 Pacific

FIXTURE FRENZY

League fixtures for the 2nd part of the season are now confirmed and available to view in the right hand bar over there ----->

Our 4 'Super 6' opponents will be East End Cavaliers, Victoria Lounge, Rose & Crown and Pacific. Our win against Vallance last week means we carry over 2 points! Yay!

PLAY TIME

Our first round of fixtures for the new season have been provisionally announced, and are as follows:

25^th April – Old Fallopians
We beat these last year which is a trend we are eminently capable of reversing.

8^th May – Central London
If their title is to be believed, and they can call upon the whole of central London, then we have no chance. Unless central London is in fact technically located somewhere in the Thames and their side consists of a few ferry captains, some poo and a Sainsbury’s trolley.

16^th May – Chats Palace
According to Wikipedia, ‘Chats’ was an affectionate term for headlice, although I think they take their name from a local community arts project.

22^nd May – Victoria Park Juniors
These beat us last year, largely due to one kid who looked remarkably like a large, stubble-ridden adult. It turns out he was.

4^th June – Tower Ravens
These also beat us last year, in the game that Nick Isaac mounted a Pit Bull Terrier.

12^th June – Vallance
We actually beat these in the league last year, before getting violated by them in the cup.

There are four more 2^nd phase league fixtures, plus potentially 5 cup games, all to be announced later.

AGM SURVIVED

The VPCCL 2007 AGM took place last week, it took nearly 4 hours and almost nothing changed, but it was a learning experience. For example; we now know that Will can repair a mail server after 8 pints of Guinness.

None-the-less, we are delighted to be part of it all and fixtures for the summer will be announced soon. Yay!
